Are You Ready To Live Like The KING?
The Apostle John wrote in 1 John 2:6 that we as Christians need “to walk just as He walked.”
But what does that mean?
In the 4 Week KING Challenge, you will be able to learn how to–in a practical sense–basically live out the life that Jesus lived during His earthly ministry!
Throughout each week, you will be challenged to seriously live out the concept of “What Would Jesus Do?” based off of the acronym KING.
A Walkthrough of the K.I.N.G Challenge
So, it’s understandable if you’re wondering what exactly KING stands for, so below I have a little basic walkthrough of what the KING Challenge is all about!
K stands for being Kind & loving to everyone around me— This one is pretty obvious. Just like how Jesus showed lovingkindness to everyone, this first week of the challenge will focus on that aspect.
I stands for being an Inspiring influence for good— Jesus always used His influence to inspire people into a deeper and higher knowledge of God and His true character. This second week of the challenge focuses on us personally using our influence to encourage and uplift others around us to know, love, and follow God more than ever before! On a more practical level, this second week challenges us to say and do things that’ll uplift others into the higher and holier atmosphere of God’s love, grace, and truth.
N stands for Never think or say anything negative— It’s obvious that Jesus never said or thought anything negative. This third week of the challenge will encourage us to do the same!
G stands for Go and share the gospel with someone today— Jesus’ primary mission was to “preach the good news [or gospel] to the poor” (Luke 4:18). To cap off this fourth and final week of the challenge, we will be encouraged to plant a gospel seed to someone each day of Week #4. Now, this DOES NOT have to mean actually talking to some stranger about Jesus. You could easily share the gospel by doing something as basic as leaving a gospel tract on a park bench, or–if you’re into the technological side of things–post up an encouraging Bible verse on your social media feed. Or maybe even text an inspiring Christian quote to someone who you know has been going through trials. Either way, the G in this challenge will help launch us deeper into following through with Christ’s commission to us in Matthew 28!
As you can see, each letter in the beginning of each week for this whole challenge spells out the word KING!
