Several months ago, my cat, Blacko, was feeling sick.
He was moaning and throwing up occasionally. My family and I had no idea what was wrong with him.
We did all that we can to help him, but he still continued to feel sick. Soon, my parents began to make plans to take Blacko to the vet.
Does Jesus Care?
“Blacko! Where are you?”
“MEEEAAAAAAAAOOOOW!”
My cat was now hiding in all kinds of funny places.
From my messy closet to the bathroom (in fact, the above photo is of Blacko hiding in the bathroom!).
On this particular day, he was in and out of my closet, moaning all over my bedroom.
“Meaooooow! Meaoooooow!”
Soon, Blacko rested near my closet door.
He still wasn’t feeling well.
Will Jesus care if I prayed for Blacko? I thought.
I decided to go ahead and pray for him.
I picked up my Bible, opened it, and knelt down in front of my cat. I placed my hand over Blacko and I began to silently pray for my cat, claiming two Bible promises:
>Malachi 4:2
>Psalm 6:2
I prayed:
“Dear Lord, my cat is feeling sick right now. Please Lord, fulfill Your promises in Malachi 4:2 and Psalm 6:2. Please arise over Blacko with healing in Your wings, as Your promised here in Malachi 4:2. God, I also wanna claim Psalm 6:2 as well. Please Father, have mercy on my cat, for he feels weak. O Lord, heal Blacko, for he is troubled with sickness.”
In Jesus’ Name,
Amen
One Day Later…
The next day I woke up, ready for another day of blogging.
After having devotions, family worship, and breakfast, my mom suddenly pointed out,
“Hey! Blacko hasn’t been throwing up like before!”
I looked at Blacko, sleeping soundly on the couch.
I realized that all the moaning and vomiting he had for the past couple days was COMPLETELY gone!
We didn’t need to take Blacko to the vet after all!
God healed my cat!
A Lesson Behind The Story
James 5:15 says:
And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.
(James 5:15)
Just like my simple prayer of faith in God’s promises saved my sick cat from further days of suffering, God is calling us to pray in faith for the sin-sick souls around us!

Please pray for my kitty Sherman who has not been feeling good he is on the way to the vet he has not been able to potty and is not eating well I pray the doctor can provide medicine that is needed medicine that Jesus guides the vet and heals my baby in Jesus name Amen

She’s receiving a treatment for her blood clot. The Vet will try what he can. I just hope she’s fine by tomorrow it’s a 24 hour progress. My cat is still young. She has a lot to live for. I will continue to pray till tomorrow to know more results. I appreciate it if y’all can pray for my cat “Frida.”

Praise God, please pray for my cat also she do surgery in old age and not recover yet , she vomit and can not eat, she surgery in 16 aug . today she still stress, i had pray all night and will continue praying. Her name is fugui

My cat has been having difficulty urinating he most likely has a crystal but I don’t have any money to take him to the vet and worried for his health but I have faith Jesus will heal please pray for my cat and my anxieties

I really tried trusting God but my cat died today at 8:45 am I don’t know how I’m able to even get a minute of peace but I don’t feel horrible all the time it just comes in waves.

“For I will turn their mourning into joy, and will comfort them, and make them rejoice from their sorrow.” (Jeremiah 31:13)

Hi Simba! My apologies for the late reply. I’m so sorry to hear about your cat. I wanna let you know that I just finished praying for your cat, and will continue to pray for it. I’m praying that the Lord will extend His healing hand to relieve your cat from its pain and suffering. I wanna encourage you with this Bible promise: Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest. (Joshua 1:9). I pray that this trial will draw you closer to the Lord, and that your faith in Him will be strengthened as you continue to grow in grace and learn to trust in the Lord amidst this situation.
I remember when he got the boo boo on his paw and we prayed for wisdom how to deal with it. The Lord inspired me to use olive supplement mixed with water on it. It worked!!
May we continue to seek the Lord first for wisdom and guidance in life.
