“Aaawww, Blacko! What are you doing?” I said, looking down at my cat.
My cat, Blacko, was sleeping on top of my mom’s Bible on the couch.
As I was looking down at my cat lazily resting his head on Mom’s Bible, I realized that–in some way– what my cat was doing is what Christians should be doing.
Especially now as we enter the new year of 2021.
What do I mean by that?
Well, what I mean are four basic words:
REST IN GOD’S WORD

Just like my cat was resting his head on my mom’s Bible, we too as Christians must–in a figurative sense–rest our hearts on the promises and truths of God’s Holy Word, the Bible.
But how do we do this in a practical sense?
A Prayer
First and foremost, we need to pray. We can pray something like this:
