My Top 4 Go-To Intercessory Prayer Promises

As we look at the world around us, it’s obvious that more and more people are in desperate need of our intercessory prayers!

There’s just so many people who are in darkness, and deeply need the power of prayer to lighten up their lives!

But how do we go about doing this?

In today’s blog post, I’d like to share with you my top 4, favorite, go-to Bible promises to pray and claim over on behalf of lost souls.

Let’s dive in!

1. Ezekiel 37:12

Therefore prophesy and say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord God: “Behold, O My people, I will open your graves and cause you to come up from your graves, and bring you into the land of Israel.

(Ezekiel 37:12)

I like to claim this Bible promise for those who are stuck in the grave of sin, worldliness, spiritual blindness, etc.

2. Ephesians 1:17-18

that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, 18 the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints,

(Ephesians 1:17-18)

This is a favorite Bible promise of mine to claim especially for people I know whose spiritual perceptions are horribly blind to the light of God’s love and truth. Only the Holy Spirit can open blind hearts!

3. Hosea 11:4

I drew them with gentle cords,

With bands of love,

And I was to them as those who take the yoke from their neck.

I stooped and fed them.

(Hosea 11:4)

I just LOVE this Bible promise so much! It’s so beautiful to claim this promise, and ask God to not only take whatever kind of yoke is spiritually weighing down someone’s neck, but to also stoop down and feed them with His love and truth!

4. Acts 16:14

Now a certain woman named Lydia heard us. She was a seller of purple from the city of Thyatira, who worshiped God. The Lord opened her heart to heed the things spoken by Paul.

(Acts 16:14)

The word “opened” in this verse means “to rouse in one the faculty of understanding or the desire of learning.”

So, I’d take this verse in Acts 16:14 and ask the Lord to “rouse” in the soul of the person I’m praying for a DESIRE to understand and learn the Gospel.
