In Jeremiah 2:6, we read:

“Neither did they say, ‘Where is the Lord,

Who brought us up out of the land of Egypt,

Who led us through the wilderness,

Through a land of deserts and pits,

Through a land of drought and the shadow of death,

Through a land that no one crossed

And where no one dwelt?’

(Jeremiah 2:6)

Isn’t this Bible verse a beautiful comfort?

In the midst of our wilderness experiences and dry seasons, it’s important to keep in mind that JESUS is leading us through it all! And anywhere Jesus leads us–whether it’s the wilderness or green pastures–is the best place to be.

Wherever He chooses to carry us, it is the best and happiest place to be.

Why?

Joyfully Led

I believe this prayer that David wrote better captures the reason why:

You will show me the path of life;

In Your presence is fullness of joy;

At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.

( Psalm 16:11)

When God’s presence is leading us through our wilderness, we can have JOY!

We can joyfully welcome the wilderness when we are allowing God to take the lead!

It reminds me of the lyrics of an old hymn:

Anywhere with Jesus I can safely go;

Anywhere He leads me in this world below;

Anywhere without Him dearest joys would fade;

Anywhere with Jesus I am not afraid.

Amen! Maranatha!
