Several weeks ago my family and I experienced a small yet amazing miracle. And in today’s blog post, I’d like to share this little miracle story with you!
Chilly Providence
One chilly Sabbath day, my mom asked me to turn on the heater. I went to switch the heater on, but it didn’t kick in.
“Hey! The heater’s not working!” I said.
“Really?” Mom replied. “Well, I guess we’ll just use the other heater.”
My dad was able to get a Presto Heat Dish, so we transferred it from my parents’ room to the living room.
Shortly after plugging in the Heat Dish and turning it on, Mom thoughtfully commented,
“Praise the Lord He provided us with this other heater before we realized the apartment heater wasn’t working!”
Yes! Thank You, Father, I thought cheerfully.
Chilly Miracle
The next day, I woke up early and heard a low hum coming from the hallway.
I opened my bedroom door and realized that the apartment heater was on!
“Hey! The heater’s working!” I said.
Mom popped up in the hallway.
“You wanna know what happened?” She asked.
“Yeah,” I replied as I followed her into the living room.
“When I woke early this morning,” Mom said. “I walked by the heater to go into the living room and do my devotions. I felt a sense of peace in my heart, and prayerfully decided to try turning on the heater. When I switched it on, the heater began to work again like normal!”
“Wow, Mom! God fixed our heater!” I cried.
A Lesson Behind The Story
Psalm 51:12 says:
Dear reader, do you feel broken?
Do you feel like your soul deeply lacks that true joy of experiencing God’s salvation?
Friend, the same God Who fixed my family’s apartment heater is the same God Who can fix your heart and restore in you the joy of His salvation! Right now, these are His words to you today:
I wanna encourage you, dear reader, to take hold of God’s strength and allow Him to enter your heart and fix you from the inside out!
Would you like that experience right now?
If so, I wanna appeal to you to simply pray:
I’d like to conclude this blog post with a beautiful Bible promise you may meditate on along with the above prayer. It’s a Bible promise God led me to when I myself felt broken:
Amen! Maranatha!
