In the first chapter of 2 Peter, the apostle writes something that has always fascinated me:
Wherefore I will not be negligent to put you always in remembrance of these things, though ye know them, and be established in the present truth.
(2 Peter 1:12)
What does that mean?
What is exactly is “present truth”?
Is present truth something we ought to share with everyone…or is it only something we as believers need to be educated on?
Why is present truth so important that Peter wrote we should be “established” in it?
And how does present truth fit into our lives as Christians?
In this new series on Learning To Live, I’m inviting you to join me on a Bible study journey as we look into the who, what, why, and how behind the Biblical “present truth” of 2 Peter 1:12!
Next week, we’re gonna kick off our journey and look into WHO is the “target audience” of present truth!
Is it for those in the world? Those in the church? Or maybe it’s a mix of both?
Stay tuned for next week’s post where we’ll dive into what the Bible has to say on that question!
Amen! Maranatha!
